I like museums because I love paintings. But I don't like long visits because I get tired.

Le texteHi Grandma!
I'm at the National Gallery in London with my class. It's a big museum in Trafalgar Square, and it's free! My favourite painting is by J. M. W. Turner, an English painter. It's called « The Fighting Temeraire ». In the foreground, there is a small black steamboat. It is pulling an old, white sailing ship. In the background, the sky is orange and yellow because the sun is setting. The colours are so beautiful! The painting looks calm, but it's a bit sad too: the old ship is going on its last trip. It makes me feel quiet.
My friend Leo is bored. He hates museums and he loves football, so he wants to go home. But I'm really happy: I love drawing, and now I want to draw ships! In the museum shop, I'm going to buy a poster of the painting for my bedroom.
See you on Sunday,
Emma
