Exercice 1 — Discours direct → indirect (affirmations)

  1. Transforme les phrases suivantes au discours indirect en utilisant le verbe introducteur indiqué. (1 pt chacune)
  2. a) "I am very excited about the project." (She said…)
  3. b) "We have just arrived in London." (He told us…)
  4. c) "My sister will join us next week." (She said…)
  5. d) "I was studying all night." (He explained…)
  6. e) "They can't come to the party." (She told me…)

Exercice 2 — Rapporter des questions

  1. Transforme les questions au discours indirect. (1 pt chacune)
  2. a) "Do you speak French?" (The teacher asked me…)
  3. b) "Where did you go last summer?" (She asked him…)
  4. c) "Have you ever tried sushi?" (He asked her…)
  5. d) "What time does the concert start?" (She asked…)

Exercice 3 — Ordres, conseils, suggestions

  1. Transforme les phrases au discours indirect en utilisant le verbe introducteur entre parenthèses. (1 pt chacune)
  2. a) "Please turn off your phones." (ask)
  3. b) "Don't open that door!" (warn)
  4. c) "Why don't we visit the museum?" (suggest)
  5. d) "I won't apologise!" (refuse)

Exercice 4 — Repérer et corriger les erreurs

  1. Chaque phrase contient une erreur. Souligne-la et réécris la phrase correcte. (1 pt chacune)
  2. a) She told that the flight was cancelled.
  3. b) He asked where did she work.
  4. c) They suggested to take the train.
  5. d) She said me she would be late.

Exercice 5 — Production écrite : rédiger un rapport de conversation

/ 3 pts
  1. Voici un extrait de conversation directe entre deux amis, Jack et Emma. Rapporte cette conversation au discours indirect en une dizaine de lignes. Utilise des verbes introducteurs variés (said, told, asked, explained, suggested…).
  2. Jack: "I'm thinking of applying for a job in New York."
    Emma: "Really? Have you already sent your CV?"
    Jack: "Not yet. I'm waiting for my references. Will you write one for me?"
    Emma: "Of course! You should also mention your project in Berlin. It was impressive."
    Jack: "Good idea. I'll do that. Let's celebrate if I get the job!"
    Emma: "I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!"

Exercice 1 — Discours direct → indirect (affirmations)
Corrigé :
a) She said (that) she was very excited about the project. (am → was)
b) He told us (that) they had just arrived in London. (have arrived → had arrived ; we → they)
c) She said (that) her sister would join them the following week. (will → would ; my → her ; next week → the following week)
d) He explained (that) he had been studying all night. (was studying → had been studying)
e) She told me (that) they couldn't come to the party. (can't → couldn't)

Exercice 2 — Rapporter des questions
Corrigé :
a) The teacher asked me if / whether I spoke French. (yes/no question → if/whether + ordre affirmatif ; do speak → spoke)
b) She asked him where he had gone the previous summer / the summer before. (Wh- question + ordre affirmatif ; went → had gone ; last summer → the previous summer)
c) He asked her if / whether she had ever tried sushi. (yes/no question → if/whether ; have tried → had tried)
d) She asked what time the concert started. (Wh- question + ordre affirmatif ; does start → started)

Exercice 3 — Ordres, conseils, suggestions
Corrigé :
a) She asked us to turn off our phones. (ordre poli → ask + COI + to + inf.)
b) He warned us not to open that door. (ordre négatif → warn + COI + not to + inf.)
c) She suggested visiting the museum. / She suggested (that) they should visit the museum. (suggestion → suggest + V-ing)
d) He refused to apologise. (refus → refuse + to + inf.)

Exercice 4 — Repérer et corriger les erreurs
Corrigé :
a) Erreur : told thatShe said (that) the flight was cancelled. OU She told us (that) the flight was cancelled. (Tell exige un COI direct.)
b) Erreur : did she work → He asked where she worked. (Pas d'inversion au discours indirect.)
c) Erreur : suggested to take → They suggested taking the train. (Suggest + V-ing.)
d) Erreur : said me → She told me she would be late. OU She said she would be late. (Say ne prend pas de COI direct.)

Exercice 5 — Production écrite : rédiger un rapport de conversation
Corrigé (exemple de réponse attendue) :
Jack said he was thinking of applying for a job in New York. Emma asked if he had already sent his CV. Jack replied that he hadn't yet and that he was waiting for his references. He asked Emma if she would write one for him. Emma said of course and advised him to mention his project in Berlin, adding that it had been impressive. Jack thanked her and said he would do that. He suggested celebrating if he got the job. Emma said she would keep her fingers crossed for him.

Critères : backshift correct, pronoms adaptés, verbes introducteurs variés, ordre des mots affirmatif pour les questions rapportées.
